She turns a blind corner
Skipping about unprepared
Looking for something about nothing
Following lines that go everywhere and around
Checking her watch to find not time but colors
They whirl in her mind
Inside and around
They dance in her eyes
Within and without
She gathers her strength
Tracing lights in dark water
Trying to make do with fleeting shapes
Anything that shines sputters
Because love doesn't matter
It doesn't matter anymore
They whirl in her mind
Inside and around
They dance in her eyes
Within and without
She gazes up to a sky burning
A swirling shine of all that she never minds
She looks back down
To the ground full of sparrows
No colors
But it doesn't matter anymore
They whirl in her mind
Inside and around
They dance in her eyes
Within and without
THIS IS MY FAVORITE AMONG ALL YOUR POSTS. Because, I can relate. :(
ReplyDeleteEi thanks Cams. It's both scary and interesting to be fully aware while one's void swallows up the colors of a moment. Scary because its dark when it catches up with you, interesting because it's time for my Muse to pay me a visit again. (My muse is a big grumpy hairy guy full of tatoos with fairy wings...I call him Larry.
