In Between

She turns a blind corner
Skipping about unprepared

Looking for something about nothing

Following lines that go everywhere and around

Checking her watch to find not time but colors

They whirl in her mind
Inside and around
They dance in her eyes
Within and without

She gathers her strength
Tracing lights in dark water
Trying to make do with fleeting shapes
Anything that shines sputters
Because love doesn't matter
It doesn't matter anymore

They whirl in her mind
Inside and around
They dance in her eyes
Within and without

She gazes up to a sky burning
A swirling shine of all that she never minds
She looks back down
To the ground full of sparrows
No colors
But it doesn't matter anymore

They whirl in her mind
Inside and around
They dance in her eyes
Within and without

Miserecorde

Recorded images play as his maudlin star weeps

A voice distant yet familiar begins in earnest

The pressure starts as his pulse flees from rest

The trigger is pushed...the current relays

A broken trasmission...his breath in delays

Lights communicate in quick stark succession

A bizarre reflection...a prism of love, hate and confusion

As the audience react in jovial cacophony

A silent image moves back across in gentle agony
The greet, the eyes, the smile...his miserecorde

Sink

Does this picture paint a chair to sit on
To make my peace and view my life from
Monkeys singing perched on trees
Saying the joke's on you

Could it be the light from a collider
Hadron's light to shine in my cellar
And all the chosen people cry
It's alright and true

From right to left the dust is red
Can't give it up
Till the sky is blue

From the North and South
What are these tears all about
Everything's changing hue

Start my implosion from this commotion
Can't help to blitz this motion
Everybody in this box
Say follow through

Shine

Like a light shining from a collapsing star
You reach out to me from beyond melancholic stone angels
Hovering, a silent shroud of gray
My will gasps like a dying rainbow
Smothered by the eternal sun
Painted of flaxen locks left to unwind and surrender
A death mask gently held down and fastened
I lay down to embrace serenity in peaceful disintegration

Evening

Darkness settles in
A yearning to dissipate
Silence in sepia

Ember

Naked in this world I came

Abandoned in this land in flames

Beseeching the caress of liberating rain

Bequeathed with love drenched in pain

Run lost and wild

Flee child of anger

Away from this golden mire
Your love laid waste in embers
Your love's like a forest fire

How long will you drink from this poisoned well
How long will this dying river swell
Will this night go on forever
When will you lay down your scepter

Rage shine down from a sickle moon
Love lies lost...slain too soon
Speak and no one answers
So run like you don't remember

Majestic

Majestic...that's what you are
I tremble at the whisper of your name
Swallows guide your feet
While stars form your halo
Darkness scatter like ripples in your wake

But how would I know?
Its more than I could handle
But how would I know?
It's always too late

Majestic...that's who you are
The room brightens upon the touch of your sight
Rivers sigh and fold before your path
Scared creatures elate at your presence

But how would I know?
Its more than I could handle
But how would I know?
It's always too late

Majestic...that's who you are
Knaves and knights kneel together beside you
I genuflect in gentle supplication
Subjugated by merciful consolation

But how would I know?
Its more than I could handle
But how would I know?
It's always too late
